Why do some "unattractive" people have high self esteem? Why do some traditionally "attractive" people have low self esteem? What is the secret to the average person thinking highly of themself?
self esteem is something that every person has to find within themselves.some unattractive people may have a better self perception than people who are attractive because they are not judged by appearances. I think you have to not put others above you. you have to look at the things that are positive about you and accept the things that you can’t change. they are what makes you an individual, and no one is better than you. no one is worse than you.
I believe it is how you feel about yourself as a person. If you accept yourself than you are more likely to have high self esteem.

Sometimes it has to do with the way you were raised and what your parents told you about yourself. Sometimes people have low self esteem because they were made fun of growing up. The secret to high self esteem is to be happy with yourself. Dress the way you feel like dressing. If you feel sexy/comfortable in something, wear it no matter what you think people will think about it. Its all in the way you carry yourself. If you walk around with your chin up, thinking positive thoughts, people will see you in a positive light. Dont try to please anyone but yourself. You are your number one priority, as long as you are happy with yourself you will project that to everyone around you.

Different people put pride in different things. Some peoples self esteem has to do with education or their job or the kind of person they are. The only way to have good healthy self esteem is to judge your self fairly. Every one has things about the way they look that they are unhappy with but what about over all. If there is something about you that you don’t like that is bringing your self esteem down then see what you can do to change it.
Dye your hair, go on a diet, go back to school, get a hobby.
Self esteem is all about self the only person judging you is you, and if you are not happy, you are the only one to blame.
